Day 2

Another extremely busy day. So much to do and so little time.  We feel we are learning thousands of years of history in a few days.
We thought we should visit Liz today to see if we could get a cuppa.  Ian got a local bobby who wouldn't let us in to the palace but we did get to see the Changing of the Guard. 
It is still cold and windy.  Still no planes flying and some airlines have said they will not be flying before Monday.  Not good for us who have to join a group in Paris on Sunday.  We'll have to wait and see.
We went to the Imperial War Museum today.  It is free entry and very impressive.  All the planes, tanks etc from WW1 & WW2 - Mustangs, Spitfires, Focke Wulf, Heinkel, Sopwith Camel, a variety of tanks and memorabillia.
We went on the hop on hop off bus today.  What a great way to get around.  We sat up the top in the open air.  Great for taking photos but even colder.  We have heaps of photos to go through but no time to set up a photo and be creative - all taken on the run.
We went on a walking tour of London royalty which was also very good.  We have had excellent guides and all very informative.  They really love the Queen mother, Queen, Diana and her sons.  They have very little time for Charles and Camilla.  Harry is actually very popular in spite of his partying ways but William is the one they hope will follow this queen.
The buildings over here are all amazing and so ornate and beautiful you could spend so much time just looking at them and it is a photographers dream. 
I have some trouble understanding a number of the locals and don't know (and probably don't want to know) what a lot of their food is.  We thought we got chips from the buffet last night but it was undercooked turnip.  They talk so quickly and because of the mix of nationalities they have a variety of accents. 
Tomorrow we have an early start to see The Total London Experience so we are hoping for an early night tonight.
