Barcelona

We caught the TVG train to Montpellier yesterday, had quick look around and lunch and caught the Talgo train to Barcelona. We went 1st class and it was really good on the TVG. They are so smooth and fast.  However the Talgo left a bit to be desired and it didn’t help that we had a drunk man who was on the phone loudly and laughing the whole trip. I think he called everyone on his phone list. To us it was really rude especially as some people were trying to have a sleep.  I was surprised no one said anything. We couldn't as we can't speak Spanish.   After 2 weeks my  French was getting pretty fluent but I have to look up my Spanish book this afternoon to learn a few phrases to get by.

Today was to be the hop on hop off in Barcelona which we attempted but was not an option with the rain. We could not see anything or take photos so we went through a few shops, went into the Hard Rock Café, (Keith Richards snake skin jacket, Bob Dylan's, Richie Sambora's, Paul Stanleys (KISS), Jimie Hendrix, and Tom Petty's guitars), then back to the hotel. It is good to have another break this afternoon anyway as we have the Dinner and Flemenco Show tonight which doesn’t start until 9.00pm.

I am receiving emails but having trouble sending. I have been logging into bigpond every couple of days so catching up then.
