Arrived in Paris

We finally made it. A taxi, bus, ferry, taxi, standard train, TGV and taxi and we finally arrived this morning. However we did get to see the white cliffs of Dover, met lots of nice people, and did something we haven’t done for a long time – used public transport.

We joined our tour and they had a big day planned. A tour of Paris, the Louvre, Notre Dame, Seine River Cruise with lunch, more walking Paris and the Pompidou Centre. We even used the metro in Paris – something we said we wouldn’t do. Mind you we probably won’t do it again either as it was really crowded and we had to stand for the entire trip. Tonight we are really tired and we start our tour tomorrow at 6.30am – off to the champagne region then on to Ypres.

I can’t believe we are packing so much in such a short time. Talk to your next from Ypres

  1. Hi, said you could do it all along. Backpacking's not that bad after all. Even if it is 5 star backpacking(TAXI- what are they eh???). Hope the rest of your trip works out as planned. Keep safe
