Last day in L.A.

Day 9
Today we tried for a liesurely day.  We had coffee, packed some things in a bag, and headed off to find a post office to send a parcel of shopping home- so Yvette it's on its way and should be 6 - 10 business days.  That accomplished we took another walk to catch the hop on - hop off bus just in case we had missed anything.

We came across the John Wayne statue then later found his Walk of Fame handprints. We also got Garry Coopers handprints too so these photos are for you Pack.

Today we heard a lot more history, celebrity news and gossip. For example we saw El Pocco Loco where Brad Pitt started his career dressed in a chicken outfit before he became rich and famous. We went back to the Kodak Theatre to soak in the atmosphere one more time, saw more weird people and headed home. (Walking again)

On the way we were stopped and offered a hair wash and blow dry for $25 and as the hairdryer in the room wasn't working I took them up on the offer.  I had a very nervous wait while they were doing my hair as I noticed a hair cut and dry was $200.  They also gave me a complimentary treatment and also champagne and orange juice,  I was sure there was going to be a catch but on the way out they handed me the account for $25 including tax.  I was so relieved.

Tomorrow morning we fly to Phoenix.  We are really ready to leave this celebrity town.  The polution has been so bad we have to put eye drops in several times a day.  They have 1 intersection where 425,000 cars pass through every day.  All this polution and no carbon tax !
